A Swedish massage also called relaxing massage involves working on the soft tissue of the body to promote relaxation, ease everyday stresses and alleviate muscular tension. It uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage.
